There to help field some of the more specific questions will be EcoBroker Gretchen Janzow, who is currently working with a few local groups in the process of buying land for an intentional community. ‘Intentional Community’ is a generally inclusive term for ecovillages, cohousing, residential land trusts, student co-ops, urban housing cooperatives, and other projects where people with a common vision work towards the creation of a community that is in keeping with a defined set of goals. From a sustainable aspect, Intentional Communities present an innovative solution to dealing with today’s environmental and social challenges; presenting a viable alternative to sprawling suburban builder homes and increasingly gentrified urban neighborhoods.<O:P></O:P></DIV>Join us for the fun part of being globally aware November 30th from 5:30-7:30ish at Opal Divines: 6th and Rio Grande at the upstairs bar adjacent to the terrace. <O:P></O:P> <O:P></O:P>About Green Drinks<O:P></O:P>Green Drinks Happy Hours are informal events that happens about once<O:P></O:P>a month in Austin. She has also served as a campaign manager, produced Austin's last two Earth Day Festivals, and multiple city-wide service projects. She has operated her own company, Environmentality, Inc., since 1996, and is the founder of the AustinEcoNetwork.<O:P></O:P>Brandi Clark has an outstanding reputation as someone who is extremely talented, positive and hard working. Her extensive marketing experience, excellent networking and communication skills, and a passion for improving the world make her the perfect sustainable marketer.<O:P></O:P>Brandi has a BA in Sociology from Yale University and won the President’s Award for Community Service. She is co-chair of the Austin Sustainable Business Council, past chair of the Urban Forestry Board, and founder of the AustinEcoNetwork.
