An ‘Intentional Community’ is a generally inclusive term for ecovillages, cohousing, residential land trusts, student co-ops, urban housing cooperatives, and other projects where people with a common vision work towards the creation of a community that is in keeping with a defined set of goals. From a sustainable aspect, Intentional Communities present an innovative solution to dealing with today’s environmental and social challenges; presenting a viable alternative to sprawling suburban builder homes and increasingly gentrified urban neighborhoods.</DIV><DIV class="MsoNormal">Join us for the fun part of being globally aware November 30th from 5:30-7:30ish at Opal Divines: 6th and Rio Grande at the upstairs bar adjacent to the terrace. </DIV><DIV class="MsoNormal"> </DIV> <O:P></O:P>About Green Drinks Green Drinks Happy Hours are informal events that happens about oncea month in Austin. About Brandi ClarkFor the past ten years, Brandi has directed strategic planning and marketing for local businesses, statewide agencies and national organizations. She has also served as a campaign manager, produced Austin's last two Earth Day Festivals, and multiple city-wide service projects. She has operated her own company, Environmentality, Inc., since 1996, and is the founder of the AustinEcoNetwork. Brandi Clark has an outstanding reputation as someone who is extremely talented, positive and hard working. Her extensive marketing experience, excellent networking and communication skills, and a passion for improving the world make her the perfect sustainable marketer. Brandi has a BA in Sociology from Yale University and won the President’s Award for Community Service. She is co-chair of the Austin Sustainable Business Council, past chair of the Urban Forestry Board, and founder of the AustinEcoNetwork.
